MV installation A 2 MVA medium voltage connection was applied for and granted to the TMC site Assorted cables HT switch A Merlin Gerin non-extendable 12 kV RM6 unit with two fused transformer feeders was specified for the TMC site HT Switch Transformers Two 1000 kVA 11 kV / 400 V oil filled transformers manufactured in complaisance with SANS 780 were specified. Transformer with oil tank Generators Two 750 kVA diesel generators with intelligent local control including, supervisory and synchronizing control panels were specified as emergency power source.
Diesel Generator UPS Two 500 kVA UPS units in parallel were specified for the TMC project UPS cabinet
Distribution Boards Several DB’s were required on each floor of the TMC building. The design process included Single line diagrams, DB construction drawings and circuit breaker size calculations.

Power Reticulation Detailed construction drawings indicating cable ladders, cable trays, power skirting, ducting and conduits were designed and drawn for the project.
